Just like Porn is not a substitute for the real thing so too Facebook is not a substitute for actually meeting people face to face and talking and connecting.

This rationale is actually difficult for some people to accept or understand believe it or not.

Here is what social media and internet addiction looks like for the generation that ahs grown up with nothing but the Internet and Facebook.

A case in point with Facial recognition; an article headline reads “Facial recognition will soon end your anonymity” because as MarketWatch reports early 250 million video surveillance cameras have been installed throughout the world, and chances are you’ve been seen by several of them today. Most people barely notice their presence anymore — on the streets, inside stores, and even within our homes. We accept the fact that we are constantly being recorded because we expect this to have virtually no impact on our lives. But this balance may soon be upended by advancements in facial recognition technology.

Soon anybody with a high-resolution camera and the right software will be able to determine your identity. That’s because several technologies are converging to make this accessible. Recognition algorithms have become far more accurate, the devices we carry can process huge amounts of data, and there’s massive databases of faces now available on social media that are tied to our real names. As facial recognition enters the mainstream, it will have serious implications for your privacy.

A new app called FindFace, recently released in Russia, gives us a glimpse into what this future might look like. Made by two 20-something entrepreneurs, FindFace allows anybody to snap a photo of a passerby and discover their real name — already with 70% reliability. The app allows people to upload photos and compare faces to user profiles from the popular social network Vkontakte, returning a result in a matter of seconds. According to an interview in the Guardian, the founders claim to already have 500,000 users and have processed over 3 million searches in the two months since they’ve launched.

Combine Facebook and the AI behind its Algos with the increasing levels of data we are feeding it and you cannot be surprised that this viper this snake this monster turns around bites you back. You only have yourselves to blame.

Also consider for a minute that Facebook makes billions from YOUR DATA which you provide them for free for the mere privelege for being able to post messages and photos and share pokes? What a pittance as a reward. You give your data and they give you what in return?

Have people forgotten something called a phone number or Skype or meeting people in person? What is so special about Facebook? Answer it is an irrationale addiction called the Narcissistic Personality Disorder. And this viral outbreak seems to have gone global and does not seem to be done yet.

Delete your Facebook as a first step in your DIGITAL DETOX…

“Online crimes of speech” are landing a growing number of people in London’s courts, according to data reported by the city’s police force in response to a Freedom of Information Request. While these types of arrests seemed to be on the decline between 2010 and 2013, a surge was observed again last year.
