LOCAL GOVERNMENT MEETINGS

LOCAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

A low-level boundary will remain stalled across the Piedmont and aide in developing afternoon showers and thunderstorms which will linger into the evening. An upper-level disturbance will track northeast the region late Monday leading to drier weather Tuesday and Wednesday. Moisture levels increase Thursday through the end of the week ahead of an approaching cold front.

For the North Atlantic…Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

1. A small, non-tropical, low pressure system located about 500 miles south of Cape Race, Newfoundland, is producing limited shower and thunderstorm activity. Strong upper-level winds are expected to prevent significant development of this system during the next few days while it moves south-southeastward at 10 to 15 mph over the central sub-tropical Atlantic Ocean.

* Formation chance through 48 hours…low…10 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days…low…20 percent.
