The Marxist Battle Cry: “We Won’t be COMPLICIT!”

On July 31, 2018, from 4:30 to 7:30 pm, “Science for the People,” “Movimiento Cosecha,” “Rise & Resist,” “Desis Rising Up & Moving” and “ISO-NYC” targeted Microsoft’s NYC offices, the Salesforce tower and the Amazon Book Store on 34th Street with pickets and a march. Their complaint: “All of these companies have substantial contracts with ICE and the Border Patrol that enables these agencies to tear migrant families apart.”

To understand these protestors, I found reporter Caleb Maupin’s recent video on Socialism and how ignorant Americans are of Socialism’s success. Caleb […] is an”outspoken advocate of international friendship and cooperation, as well as 21st Century Socialism”

Caleb Maupin, journalist and political analyst, appears frequently on RT and PressTV. He was a member of Workers World Party and Fight Imperialism – Stand Together (FIST) (WWP’s youth wing) though he has recently distanced himself from that organization. He worked as a youth organizer for the International Action Center and was involved in the Occupy Wall Street movement from its planning stages.

A flash back on “Caleb 2012”: a long-haired, NoKo sycophant ranting on the streets of NY, defending North Korea from defamation.

They were protesting the remake of “Red Dawn”and the replacing of the Soviet troops  of 1984, first with the Chinese … who quickly morphed in to Communist North Korea: the new enemy.

“The studio needed new villains, since the U.S.S.R. had collapsed in 1991. The producers substituted Chinese aggressors for the Soviets and filmed the movie in Michigan in 2009,” …  Immediately after, every distributor….  with any business sense got cold feet. … the filmmakers … digitally erased Chinese flags and military symbols from ‘Red Dawn,’ substituting dialogue and altering the film.” Bye-bye Chinese, hello Photoshop, North Koreans.” (Forbes)

Caleb 2012 – defending North Korea ‘s Communism/Socialism to the Times Square passersby (and riffing on this reporter at the top) is a far cry ( hair-wise) from Caleb Maupin 2018. Moving UP in the world, from street agitator to suited reporter at Press (Iran ) TV and now RT- Russian TV, but the message remains the same. (his the frothing indictment of anything non-Communist begins at the top to 00:47)

After the Marxists marched to Amazon Book Store, Gizmodo reported on the arrests.

“…around 7pm, six protesters held a small sit-in, blocking the entrance to Amazon Books. Ten minutes later officers blocked foot traffic around the store, and one approached the group with a backpack containing a speaker which played a prerecorded message warning them to disperse or be arrested for disorderly conduct. One by one they were zip-tied and led into a Strategic Response van.”

“We will target companies that do business with ICE,” said Maria Fernanda Cabello, an undocumented organizer with Cosecha […. ] If Amazon continues doing business with ICE then we won’t let them do business at all.” (Gizmodo)
