Boston Bombings: The Lowell PD Connections Just Keep Coming
This is a continuation of two previous investigative articles concerning Lowell cop Eric Wayne, and his potential connection to the bombing.
As previously reported, Lowell Police Officer Eric Wayne did a cameo piece in the movie The Fighter
The Fighter is a movie about Mickey Ward, a professsional boxer. Eric Wayne trains for a club that Mickey Ward owns, Mickey Ward is seen in a picture with Tamarlan Tsarnaev, as Tsarvaev was a golden glove boxer. Mickey Wary denies any friendship, but does not deny he was photographed with Tamarlan.
Eric’s dad arrested Mickey Ward’s brother in real life, and in the movie, since Gerry Wayne is dead, Eric portrays him as the arresting officer.
The movie,. The Fighter, was directed by David O Russell.
So guess what, Russell is doing a new movie, called American Hustle, about a 70′s FBI sting that nabbed several senators in the New York area. That’s why the movie is being filmed in Boston, right?
Filming on David O Russell‘s American Hustle was suspended Friday amid the Boston manhunt. But the ’70s-set corruption pic is going back into production on Monday, a Sony spokesperson tells me. Pic reunites Russell with his Silver Linings Playbook stars Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, and Robert De Niro as well as The Fighter‘s Christian Bale and Amy Adams. Production began March 8 and filmed in Worcester until last Wednesday when the pic moved to the Boston area.

Last folks who tried to make a movie about ABSCAM, didn’t fair so well.
French director Louis Malle adapted the Abscam story into a film script entitled Moon Over Miami, with Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi set to star, with Belushi playing a fictionalized version of Weinberg; Belushi’s death in March 1982 scuttled plans for the film
So it may just be a ballsy move by producer David O Russell to produce this highly controversial thriller, and actors like Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper and Rober DeNiro might be wanting to make a statement in their careers, or,
they could all be CIA assetts setting up a partially staged explosions at the Boston Marathon, and Eric Wayne may have had another part in this movie too.
