Trump Republicans Take Ohio, But Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Endorsed ‘Blue Wave’ Candidates Lose In Tuesday Primary Battles

Trump said that “as long as I campaign and/or support Senate and House candidates (within reason), they will win!” and said Republicans will “have a giant Red Wave” in November’s midterms “if I find the time” to hit the campaign trail.

In what may be a portent of things to come in November, Democrats failed to make any serious headway in the elections held yesterday. The much-touted coming ‘blue wave‘ showed no signs of being in evidence last night. The candidate personally endorsed by President Trump won his election in Ohio, and all of the candidates endorsed by Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez failed to win.

FROM THE AMERICAN MIRROR: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s record on Tuesday night for her chosen primary candidates was as bare as a Venezuelan supermarket shelf. The socialist pulled off a stunning victory last month in New York, and is now attempting to parlay that win into helping other leftists win Democratic primaries. Cortez held a whirl-wind tour of the U.S., stumping for Abdul El-Sayed for governor of Michigan, Fayrouz Saad in Michigan’s 11th Congressional District, Cori Bush in Missouri’s 1st District, and is backing Congressional candidate Kaniela Ing in Hawaii. El-Sayed lost his bid for the Democrat nomination for governor to 51.8 percent to 30.5 percent, according to numbers published by the New York Times. READ MORE

FROM THE HILL: President Trump on Wednesday boasted that all five candidates he endorsed in this week’s elections won their races, even as contests in Ohio and Kansas were too close to call. The president declared victory in a brief tweet: “5 for 5!” Trump in a second tweet accused the media of downplaying the Republican Party’s record of success in special elections. “The Republicans have now won 8 out of 9 House Seats, yet if you listen to the Fake News Media you would think we are being clobbered.
