Massive Grid Failure Drill Planned For November. Look Who Is In Charge Of It.

It seems a massive cyber attack ‘simulation’ is to take place sometime in November.

More than 200 utilities and government agencies across the country, from Consolidated Edison to the Department of Homeland Security to Verizon, are now expected to sign up for the largest emergency drill to test the electricity sector’s preparation for cyberattack. The drill, scheduled for November, will simulate an attack by an adversary that takes down large sections of the power grid and knocks out vast areas of the continent for weeks.

The drill, organized by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation, is to explore how the country would respond to an enormous grid failure that interrupts supplies of water, food and fuel and creates disruptions on a scale far beyond those of Sept. 11, 2001.

I had to ask, who is this North American Electric Reliability Corporation? So I looked them up and feel that there are some interesting and noteworthy things to gleen from this organization.

First of all, they call themselves a corporation, yet are considered non-profit?

The North American Electric Reliability Corporation is a not-for-profit entity whose mission is to ensure the reliability of the Bulk-Power System in North America.

Um, OK. I’ve been an electrician for 20 yrs, why have I never heard of this not for profit corporation? :rollseyes:

And by North American, do you mean NAFTA?

NERC’s area of responsibility spans the continental United States, Canada and the northern portion of Baja California, Mexico.

Hmm. What kind of authority do they have?

Entities under NERC’s jurisdiction are the users, owners and operators of the Bulk-Power System, which serves more than 334 million people.

Woah!. Now to be fair, they say

subject to oversight by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and governmental authorities in Canada

Does that mean US energy providers are also subject to Canadian govt regulations, and ultimately the Commonwealth (British Crown)?

And why doesn’t the Mexican government have any say if they are also ‘in charge’ of Baja, Mexico?? Because this is all about moving US control of infrastructure to the Commonwealth. The Mexican govt always plays along with the US govt.

And now we have a Commonwealth Corporation getting ready to test their total control over the US power grid, and all electronic information flow.. As currency is quickly moved to the digital realm, we are slipping down a slippery slope.

I’ve always maintained that digital currency is only as honest as the people controlling it. Do we want a bunch of fat cat Crown loving bankers controlling our internet, power, currency, cellphones, etc?

It’s where we are headed, if people don’t wake up.
