Root Beer Glazed Ham Steak

What is a ham steak?

If you love baking a whole glazed ham but don’t have a large crowd to feed, ham steak is the way to go. Ham steak is basically a thick cut of ham sold individually.  

How to cook?

Ham steaks are sold raw or already cooked. You can place your ham steak in a skillet with cooking oil, or in the oven or on the grill. 

What kind of glaze?

However you like to flavor your whole ham. 

Root Beer Glazed Ham Steak
Recipe by Christine Lamb @ Christine’s Pantry – 2019

Ingredients:
non stick cooking spray
1 – 1 1/2 pound ham steak with bone in fully cooked
1/2 cup root beer
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon yellow mustard
1 tablespoon butter

Directions: 
Spray skillet with non stick cooking spray over medium heat. Add ham steak, heat 3 to 4 minutes each side. 

Meanwhile: in a bowl. combine root beer, worcestershire sauce, black pepper and yellow mustard. Pour over ham steak and add butter, cook until butter melted. 

Place ham on serving dish, spoon root beer mixture over ham steak. Serve.
