Many hoard canned foods and dry goods for an emergency, but straight flour just doesn’t taste very good. But add a little water and salt to flour, and you can make bread or noodles. A little flour, eggs and water makes crepes. So learning to cook is essential to proper survival. And cooking over a fire is even harder.
This guy on Almazan Kitchen does all this in beautiful style, in beautiful settings. He never speaks, just let’s the sounds of the crackling fire, sizzling meats, and peaceful water sounds do their talking. He has amazing skills, uses the same knife, same cutting board.
Here’s some recipes I’ve tried that are excellent…don’t be afraid to substitute what you have on hand, like cream cheese instead of ricotta always works.
