Arctic Thaw Would Cost Half the World’s Annual Earnings. If Arctic soils melt and release frozen carbon, the impact would cost almost half the world’s annual gross domestic product, researchers say.

Starved, beached seabirds flood Northern California rescue centers. Hundreds of hungry and exhausted seabirds are continuing to flood a Fairfield bird rescue center because of rising sea temperatures, leaving the center strapped for resources and volunteers.

“Arctic Thaw Will Cost Half World’s Earnings; Starved, Beached Sea Birds Swamp North Carolina”

What happened during WW2 when the entire sea ice disappeared in the arctic?… absolutely nothing. Melting sea ice does not change the level of the seas. If all the ice in the world melted, then we could claim we are no longer still in the current ice age that has so far lasted c25 million years. We could then have genuine concerns over global warming.

Sea levels would actually fall, not rise, because a good 25% of the northern hemisphere land mass, Alaska, Labrador, Siberia etc, is just above sea level permafrost. It will also melt allowing the sea to flood in, which will reduce overall sea levels.

The truth is in the bigger picture, is that global temperatures have been falling for the past 3’000 years. The brief (c15’000 years) warmer interglacial period we are in, is ending. But never mind it’s only another c100’000 years until the next brief warming interglacial period. The future is going to be cold, very cold seeing as the temperature of the ice age we are in is at the bottom of the graph, it will be as cold as it’s ever been in Earth entire past. So global warming.. I wish.

If you want some advice,.. move nearer to the tropics.
