10-Year-Old Boy ‘Drag Kid’ Photographed With Naked Adult Drag Queen
On Monday, 10-year-old Canadian boy Nemis Quinn Mélançon-Golden was featured in a troubling Huck Magazine piece highlighting the life of a so-called “child drag queen.”
Young Nemis, whose drag name is “Queen Lactacia,” was shot by photographer Jonathan Frederick Turton for the spread. In one of the shots that did not make the magazine, Nemis, in full drag makeup and a black dress, is posing for a photo with the Season 7 winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” Violet Chachki. In the shocking photo, Violet is wearing nothing but a pair of heels and a small piece of fabric covering his genitals, as seen in the screenshot below:

“Interviewed and photographed [Queen Lactatia] for [Huck Magazine] about life as a child drag queen,” posted Turton.
Turton, according to his website, “is a multi-media content producer with specialisms in photography, videography and journalism.” He claims to have shot for mainstream outlets and businesses like the BBC, Adidas, Dazed and Confused Magazine, and The Discovery Channel.
In the jarring Huck Magazine piece — which ironically bashes Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro for calling out parents for over-sexualizing their “drag kids” — Nemis’ mother, Jessica Melancon, conceded that drag has a sexual component and is unapologetic about her young son wearing sexually suggestive clothing if it “makes him feel beautiful”:
“Drag is an adult arena and that’s where people question our judgement,” concedes Jessica. “So we have to censor things. He knows there are adult aspects of drag that he’s not allowed to apply to his show.”
“We would never try to overtly sexualise our child. But if he wears something that makes him feel beautiful, what right do I have to stop him wearing that dress because it might cause people to think things they shouldn’t be thinking? It’s a circular problem.”
In 2017, Nemis appeared on stage with popular drag queen Bianca Del Rio at a drag show his mother brought him to. The clip of the two on stage together, wherein the drag queen repeatedly uses the word “b****” and drops an “f”-bomb, quickly went viral.
“That video happened and everyone went crazy,” Jessica recalled. “But we knew from the get-go we never wanted to lose control, or lose sight of it being fun for Nemis.”
According to Jessica, drag is “how Nemis chooses to express himself. He’s just a kid playing.”
“There is so much more going on in the world right now which is more horrifying and terrifying than my child wearing fancy shoes and a skirt. This shouldn’t be on anyone’s list of priorities,” she added.
Nemis also appears to already be an LGBT advocate. “Choose Love. Be Proud. Smash the Patriarchy and be kind to one another, always! #pride #lovenothate#loveislove #nonbinary #thefutureisfluid,” reads a post on the boy’s Instagram account, which is said to be run by his mother.
In December, an 11-year-old named Desmond Napoles performed a sexually-suggestive musical number in full drag at a New York City-based gay bar called 3 Dollar Bill. The boy received dollar bills from the adult males in the audience, as one might see in a strip club.
As reported by The Daily Wire, Desmond (AKA Desmond is Amazing) “was dressed as a Gwen Stefani-lookalike — full drag make up, a blonde wig, and crop top included — as he bounced around onstage to No Doubt’s ‘Just a Girl’ and collected dollar bills from male adults viewing the number.”

VIDEO APPEARS TO SHOW DRAG QUEEN, 11, USING ILLICIT PARTY DRUG
‘Why would anyone think this healthy?’
a video shockingly shows the trend dipping to a new low, featuring an 11-year-old “drag kid” apparently under the influence of ketamine.
That’s a drug that properly is used for anesthesia but illegally as a “date rape” drug and more. It’s a hallucinogen that gives a person a feeling of detachment from reality.
The video:
WND reported Wednesday the child, Desmond Napoles, whose stage name is “Desmond is Amazing,” is part of a venture with the Converse shoe company to parnter “with 6 individuals connected to the LGBTQ+ community who show the power of expressing one’s true self.”
Matt Walsh, who posted the video on the blog RedState, wrote: “11-year old drag kid demonstrates snorting ketamine. Why would anyone think this healthy?”
A Twitter user weighed in, “This is child abuse and all these guys need to be arrested and put in prison.”
The 11-year-old has been widely promoted, including on “Good Morning America,” RedState said.
“Children have been taken away from parents for far, far less than this,” the blog said. “That’s not to say all those cases are legitimate and that the government doesn’t overstep at times, but in this case you’ve got an 11 year old who’s clearly being emotionally and mentally abused. He’s also being exposed to dangerous lifestyles, hanging out with mentally ill men who like to dress like women, do illicit drugs, and take naked pictures with minors. There’s nothing normal, safe, or healthy about this.”
The blog also mentioned another child drag queen, “Queen Lactatia,” who was photographed, dressed as a girl, with a nearly nude made.
John Cardillo, who said he has worked on child-protection legislation both at the state and federal level, concluded, “This is absolutely child pornography.”
Noted Redstate, “Disgusting is too mellow of a word for this, as things have only gotten more disturbing as time has progressed.”
“The video is tough to watch because of just how sad it is to see a child abused like this. No kid is naturally this way. This is learned behavior pushed by his parents who have a desperate desire to be famous. His mother, who’s been promoted along side him, is an awful parent who has no business retaining custody of her child at this point,” the report continued.
Queen Lactatia:
WND columnist Michael Brown wrote in December that while he’s not likening a gay lifestyle to pedophilia, nevertheless, “the connection between homosexuality and ‘intergenerational intimacy’ remains alive and well, as it has through gay history. There’s no denying it now.”
He pointed out that that the pro-family group MassResistance has documented the abuses taking place between gay adults and minors, “especially in school-based GSA’s (Gay Straight Alliances; see here and here and here).”
But there’s been no protest from the gay community at large.
And he pointed out that “in the wake of the new perverted fad of drag queens reading stories to toddlers and little children, one of the readers, Dylan Pontiff (aka Santana Pilar Andrews) made this stunning statement at a city council meeting: ‘This is going to be the grooming of the next generation. We are trying to groom the next generation.” (By the way, if you were in the least bit offended by this statement as a parent, that proved you were a hater.)’”
He pointed to a Daily Wire report about the 11-year-old “Desmond is Amazing,” Desmond Napoles, dressing up “as a Gwen Stefani-lookalike – full drag make up, a blonde wig, and crop top included – as he bounced around onstage to No Doubt’s ‘Like a Girl’ and collected dollar bills from male adults viewing the number.”
Outraged radio host Mike Hendren said: “In any other form, we’d call this pedophilia. Yet this is being hailed as something groundbreaking and even celebratory.”
