A Day After a Family Saved This Beached Octopus, it Returned and Gave Them an Astonishing Thank You (Videos)

The family says they were spending their holidays at the Red Sea, and while walking along a lonely beach, we saw a stranded octopus on the sand.

We were not sure if he is already dead, but decided to try to rescue the beached octopus. So we pushed him back into the water, where after some minutes recovering, the octopus was able to swim away.

The next day, the family returned to the same beach location, and strolled the same shoreline, walking in and out of the clear shallows.

When the family saw a shadow in the water nearby, they walked closer to investigate and realized it was an octopus. Not just any octopus it turned out, but the same octopus they had rescued the day before:

Over the next hour the family, continued to walk the shoreline, filming the octopus who kept pace with them and kept reaching out to gently touch the foot of anyone walking in the shallows. 

The family remains convinced  the octopus came back to thank its rescuers, and are so happy they decided to return to that shoreline and get to experience this unique and special encounter.
