The new year is coming in strong, with the night of January 1st, 2018 experiencing the first full moon of the year. The new moon of the year also happens to be a supermoon! The first supermoon of the year is going to be especially powerful due to its position in the sky. The supermoon will be located at 11 degrees Cancer meaning we’ll be opposite of Venus and love will be in the air. This powerful supermoon coming on the first of January is called the wolf moon because this is what the native Algonquins of North America called the first full moon during the month of January.

The new supermoon is going to bring a lot of energy with it. Being in January means that this supermoon will fall in the sign of Capricorn. This means that Capricorns will feel especially energized during this amazing astrological occurrence. The supermoon will be a chance for all of us to utilize the energy of the universe to gain better insight on our lives or make changes to our lives for the better.
