No Brain, No Throat, No Heart in Remains of Vet Killed in Police Custody
Army Veteran Everett Palmer Jr. left his home in Delaware after calling his family in New York and telling them he was driving up to visit his sick mother. He never made it.
In April of last year, Everett’s family was informed that he died while in police custody. More than a year later, the Palmer family is still trying to get answers because when the 41-year-old’s remains were returned for burial, organs were missing. CNN says, “Palmer’s body was returned to them, his throat, heart and brain were missing.”
The only explanation given to Everett’s family was that he was in York County Prison after being arrested by police. He was shot and killed by police after Everett allegedly “became agitated and started banging his head on the cell door“(USA TODAY) of his prison. Those few facts of the case leave more questions than answers. The Palmer family hired a civil rights attorney who has enough information to determine, “This entire case smacks of a cover-up,”.
Once the story went public and after the media got involved, the coroner’s office released a statement on Friday defending how they’re handling the case, saying they’ve been in regular contact with the family and explained, “there were never any missing organs“. The organs are being retained for additional testing as part of the autopsy. As for the cause of death, the coroner says, “complications following an excited state, associated with methamphetamine toxicity, during physical restraint.” Probable sickle red cell disorder was listed as a contributory factor.“(USA Today). The manner of death officially remains undetermined, meaning we know he died from gunshots by an officer, but what were all the circumstances leading to Everett’s behavior and death?
It’s an answer, but again more questions…where did Everett get the methamphetamine?… Is that what affected his “brain” and caused him to become agitated enough to bang his head on his cell door? Did someone else bang his head on the door?
And there are plenty of other questions still. It’s reported that Everett went to settle an outstanding DUI warrant before he got on the road which is what led to his arrest, but why did he end up dead in a cell only two days after his arrest?
People following the case on Twitter agree with the family’s attorney that something isn’t adding up in this case…
What is this creepy, Get Out, Frankenstein Bullshit? It’s bad enough so many healthy black people ‘die’ in custody, but returning them minus vital organs is hugely suspect Seriously hope some1 investigates this properly as something is very off #blacklivesmatter #Justice4Everett

My God, this is awful. It’s the type of thing that happens in the pages of 1984. Investigate! Prosecute! Sue! #justice4everett

Everett Palmer died in York County jail. When his body was returned to his family, it was badly bruised, & his brain, heart & throat were missing. A pathologist says authorities are trying to cover up the cause of his death & it should be ruled a homicide. https://www.ny1.com/nyc/all-boroughs/news/2019/06/04/family-looks-for-answers-after-army-vet-dies-in-pennsylvania-jail?cid=share_twitter?cid=share_twitter …
Family Looks for Answers After Army Vet Dies in Pennsylvania Jail
This story is horrifying and I hope Everett Palmer Jr.’s family gets the answers they deserve. https://www.businessinsider.com/vet-dies-in-prison-organs-removed-cover-up-suspected-2019-6 …
A veteran’s family wants answers after he died in jail and his brain, heart, and throat were…
The story has reawakened an urban legend that is now a full-fledged conspiracy theory of organ thieves.
Everett’s story has also spawned the hashtag “#Justice4Everett”.
As all this turns into a modern-day media circus known as a viral storm, the Palmer family still stands at the eye of that storm asking the same question they’ve been asking for 14 months now–“What happened to Everett Palmer?”
What do you think actually happened to Everett? Will the truth ever come out? Or do you think this is part of some sort of cover-up?
