Endless Errands & Crazy Weather

We had such a cool and wet spring here. With Sharn’s death, it seemed… fitting somehow, so I didn’t complain. But now we’re in a new home, living a new life, and I’m ready for some sunshine.

It’s trying to be summer… and failing a little bit. We’re actually getting lovely days that are quickly killed by cold fronts and actual storms. I mean with heavy rains and hail and thunder! We don’t get those much in these parts, so it’s rather surprising. We had a close call with a bolt of lightning less than half a mile away that freaked me out a little– it was loud enough to hurt my ears!

Meanwhile, Cat ran me around. I got a new local bank set up and then picked up the paint I need for my bedroom. They don’t have any branches for my old bank, so I have to get everything all switched over. Again, hopefully for the last time– I’m SO tired of moving! And I flat out refuse to have a national bank of any kind. Credit Unions and small local banks are the only ones I get good results from, so I’d rather put my money to only local use!

Now… I must get my doctor and clinic switched over, my pharmacy, and all my online accounts. It’ll take a little time, but by the end of the summer, I’m hoping to be completely moved over to the peninsula. It’s stressful! Sometimes it’s fine, but others–? I can get anxious trying to get it all done, especially the medical stuff (phobias are such fun…)
