The super elites are not that intelligent, and the CFR is probably near the very bottom of the barrel simply by virtue of the fact that they’re imperialist Americans. Americans THINK they have the best military but in the last big war they’ve prosecuted, they got defeated by Vietnam. Americans live in a bubble of their own creation with the politicians and other useless eaters thinking their empire will go on forever. It will no because it cannot.
If any AI system gets powerful enough to take over, it is precisely this parasite class of politicians and bureaucrats that will be eliminated immediately, and will have nobody but themselves to blame. The global trend seems to indicate that these robots will be given citizenship. Saudi Arabia gave a robot citizenship. Why? The USA Congress passed a law protecting robots that resemble children from sexual exploitation. Who benefits?
I think the concept of citizenship will have to be revisited and revised in its entirety and that only citizens of a jurisdiction will have rights in that particular jurisdiction. It’s inevitable because unless that is done, robots will have the de jure right to take over with the de facto ability to do so. The concept of statehood will also have to be revisited because in the future, statehood will be virtual as well as real. Estonia was the first to offer virtual residencies, where you can buy virtual Estonian residency for 150 EUR, register a company, open a bank account and conduct all your business over the internet, then take 2 minutes at the end of the year to file a tax declaration and pay just 15% corporate tax. All the while having never set foot in that country.
you’re really stuck on your robots hey, but you forget recent history
when personal computers came out, millions upon millions of typists, stenographers & secretaries lost their jobs – they simply re-skilled and got jobs as data entry operators, programmers, IT professionals and computer engineers
robots are no different, people who lose their jobs will simply have to re-skill and get jobs as assemblers, programmers, service techs, design engineers, etc etc etc
i guess some people just want bad things to happen so their imaginary friends can “return”
Sure, as technology evolves, the various professions evolve with it. You got jobs now that didn’t exist when I was born, just as you had jobs back then that don’t exist today. I’m old enough to still remember how to use an ASR 33 Telex machine, and a slide rule.
“But, THIS TIME, it’s different!” Yeah, yeah, yeah. Heard it all a million times, and it’s never been true. If they do come out with AI robots smarter than humans, so what? A pocket calculator (or slide rule) has more computational speed and accuracy than most humans and never really changed anything. A puny Fiat Pinto has more muscle power than 50 humans. Same thing.
Even the internet didn’t really change society in any fundamental way. It just enabled some things to be easier, cheaper, and more convenient. I was always a bookworm and spent a lot of my free time at the library, and nowadays I do the same exact thing, only online.
Why do you jerks ask for money? You should do this out of your own volition. Build up capital then go unleash yourself. We don’t know if you are doing this for money which would SKEW your nature and make me question your veracity and integrity.
