Changes to the Risary, and why.
The first change was announced by His Holiness Pope Leo X1V and it is the correct thing to do. We should not be castigating ourselves as sinners at the same time we are seeking help. It is self defeating.Say instead “pray for us wanderers” or simply say “pray for us” if that’s is more suitable to you and your needs. The Holy Father did not or it was not reported what to actually say.
But I would, and dont knock it till you try it …… you will be amazed, to add the following.
1. Recite the second half of the Hail Mary first. It gives impetus, meaning and thanksgiving to the traditional first half.
2. Instead of the traditional Gloria, which is meaningless for most people say this;
Praise and glory be to the Father
Praise and glory be to the Son
Praise and glory be to The Holy Spirit. ….
that’s it.
3. This next can be recited either way but the option is necessary to give meaning and the power of it to some people some time.
Instead of only saying “and lead us not into temptation ” some may wish to say “and do not lead us into temptation “.
After this the “oh my Jesus ….. prayer stays the same but will be given new energy and power and ease of recitation by the above changes.

I’m not a fan of the old Creed and “Hail Holy Queen” either.
The shortened Creed used with the Divine Mercy Chaplet is more suitable I believe, and the Hail Holy Queen attributes to Mary that which should belong to Jesus.
I have previously called for Bibles to put the New Testament first and the Old Testament Second.
This is common liturgical sense and puts the right emphasis on the New Testament, on Christ, on salvation and is the right order for evangelism.
