Goading God, Part I: The Rainbow

Maybe people who construct their entities around homosexual deviancy chose the rainbow as their symbol because they are goading God.

Genesis 9:8-16 explains what a rainbow means in the context of the Bible:

8 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him, 9 “Behold, I establish my covenant with you and your offspring after you, 10 and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the livestock, and every beast of the earth with you, as many as came out of the ark; it is for every beast of the earth. 11 I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.” 12 And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations: 13 I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh. And the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”

CARM provides a sample of what the Bible says about homosexuality:

Leviticus 18:22, “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.”1

Leviticus 20:13, “If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them.”

1 Corinthians 6:9-10, “Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”

Romans 1:26-28, “For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.”

Why else would people who make a lifestyle out of indulging in the same behavior that brought down holy wrath upon Sodom use the rainbow as their symbol if they are not goading God?

Won’t ever flood us again, huh? No matter how badly we deserve it? Even if we do this? And this? And this?

Goading God is something people do when they are impatient for the punishment they know they deserve.

That punishment won’t come by flood, but it will come. Not soon enough to suit them, though, which is why they push moonbattery so hard.

Evil longs for damnation; it is the Siren song of hell.
