Cardi B & Marron 5 keep No.1 on Top 40 Songs Chart

This week’s top 40 songs in the USA – based on YouTube views – between the period of 05/10/2018 to 11/10/2018 brought some expected, some unexpected and some downright bizarre rankings in the views served to you by Popnable.

Coming in at number 40, and down 6 from last week we have ‘Friends’ by Anne Marie & Marshmello – a favorite from 2018 with a huge 34 weeks in the top 40 with 5.6 million views in the previous week. But that’s nothing compared to the Imagine Dragons’ ‘Zero’ at 39 with a ridiculous 49 places climbed in the last week, slotting itself into the top 40 with an unexpected 5.7 million views – that’s one eager fan running the song on repeat – we think anyway.

Moving up the pack we see a new entry from Lil Uzi Vert and Lil Pump with Multi Millionaire at the #36 spot, sandwiched between Eminem’s ‘Fall’ and ‘Lovely’ by Billie Eilish and Khalid. All three reporting a 5.9 million view count for the week.

Kodak Black moves up a whopping 37 places to #34 with ‘If I’m Lyin, I’m Flyin’ for his second week in the chart. He’s followed by DJ Khaled and Khalid for the #33 and #32 spots.

It’s up 4 (amazingly) for The Chainsmokers and their huge ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ with an insane 124 weeks in the charts. With 1.1bn views total, we’re sure that they’ll remain in the chart for some serious time to come.

2 Chainz, Drake and Quavo are up 52 places to number 27 with ‘Bigger Than You’ and hit their peak this week with 6.7 million views with only 3 weeks in the chart as of current. We’re expecting another huge increase next week, so keep posted!

Moving into the top 20 we have Bebe Rexha with ‘I’m a Mess’ sporting 8.4 million views with a total of 12 weeks in the chart. She’s followed by another entry from Imagine Dragons with ‘Believer’ that’s down 1. But that’s not their highest ranking with a #14 position taken with ‘Thunder’ which although is down 3, still marks the 75th week in the chart for the track.

The late great Xxxtentacion & Lil Peep with ‘Falling Down’ grabs the number 10 spot with the due reaching 10.8 million views in the last week. Lady Gaga holds down #9 with a huge 22 places jumped, peaking the track ‘Shallow (A Star is Born)’ from the motion picture with a huge 12.3 million views.

#8 belongs to The Chainsmokers and Coldplay with ‘Something Just Like This’, marking 85 weeks in the chart and topping 13 million views. #7 comes from Xxxtentacion and ‘Sad!’ with 32 weeks in the chart and #6 is captured by J. Balvin, Cardi B and Bad Bunny with ‘I Like It’ down 3. #5 comes from Tyga and Offset with ‘Taste’ and is the first track to hit over 20 million views this month.

Onto the top 4 and we’ve got Eminem with ‘Venom’ boasting the spot as a new entry from the motion picture of the same name. He’s claiming a huge 23.8 million views this week in the year that he seems to be clawing at a comeback.

#3 and down a single place is ‘I Love It’ from Kanye and Lil Pump topping at over 29 million views. The track peeked at #1 and is expected to slowly fade out through the coming weeks.

Onto the big ones and #2 is yet another entry from Xxxtentacion with a brand new entry with ‘Moonlight’ topping a huge 38.9 million views in the space of the week. But it’s beaten, and not by a small margin with 48 million views, by Cardi B and Maroon 5 with ‘Girls Like You’ marking 19 weeks in the chart – it’s no surprise that it’s back and staying to the top spot following the release of Kanye’s track in Mid September.
