Try things that have value, like family, food, seeds, guns and ammo, a fishing pole. Lets face it, if they crash the system it will be a Mad Max world and 90% of the population will be dead in 60 days.
The idea that people can run off to the wilderness and live off the land is a joke. The masses would all be dead quickly. To many people and not enough food to feed them all without farming and ranching.
Your best chance of survival is to weather the first 30 days and fight off the masses who will kill you for anything you may have and I am not talking about a flat screen tv.
