Meteor fireball lights up sky across Michigan
(AP/WNEM) — The National Weather Service says the bright light and what sounded like thunder in the sky across the Detroit metropolitan area may have been a meteor.
Meteorologist Jordan Dale says the weather service hasn’t been able to confirm that it was a meteor despite reports and videos received by the agency late Tuesday. But he says “it was not thunder or lightning or weather-related.”
Some residents reported their homes shaking.
The weather service says by about 9 p.m. it had received dozens of reports.
Dale says the weather service is trying to determine what caused the light and noise, calling it “a rare occurrence.”

In the year 2000, I learned that the technology that was only a year old then, was FOUR TIMES the technology that was invented only one year earlier and that technology was increasing at an exponential rate! What happened to all of it? We certainly don’t see much of it. What are they doing with all of the technology that is exploding all over the world? WOW this is CRAZY!!! I live in West Michigan and I just spent two weeks on Conch Key, Fl renting a house on the Gulf. At 80:1 PM pn the 16th, I was on the Dock and saw the craziest “meteor” looking thing zip by overhead, heading from North to south. It was about the same color as the lights in the Taylor pictures.
I theen called my Husband out, and we were se were sitting in Lounge chares, and we both saw 2 “vehicles/” side by side, zipping by, from due North to due South. Only thing is they were not flying in straight lines and there were small zig-zag motioned, and the lights seemed to be playing around with each other. They also appeared to be phasing in appearance… not quite solid. IDK it was very very strong. Those last two objects appeared approximately at 8:18PM minutes after the first one at 8:10PM
